I’ll be a Guru when I’ll become ‘Visible’
If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!
Today I am going to count my words.
‘No more than 700 words’ I said to myself.
‘Not like yesterday’s long article…’
Not sure if it’s possible… We’ll see.
Yesterday’s article created a flaming thread at Warriors.
You can check that thread here: findv.com/x.php?3zl
The subject is: “John Delavera is Insane”
Karl Warren (initial poster) is a friend so I am not going
to sue him.
But here is an interesting reply there:
“I wanna check that site. I never heard his name,
but I’m curious.” — mindbodysoul
‘Holy Smoke!’ I said…
‘After all these years online… after all these products,
after all this “effort” to be distinguished and be placed
to the Pantheon of Internet Marketing Gurus, there is a
Warrior that has not heard my name!’
And it became worse…
“Haven’t looked at the blog but isn’t he the real
estate guy?” — nextbigthing
At first I thought that those 2 posters are twins…
Or “siamese” posters…
But alas, no.
They simply do not know who am I. And they cannot understand
that this fact can create a trauma to my old soul…
But then I said to myself…
(the very best listener of me, that knows me for sure…)
“John… You are invisible out there for SOME people.”
And I posted this on that thread too.
Of course, Jahn A.’s alleviated my psychological downfall a bit…
“You sure? JD’s been around even before I was selling cheap
watches on ebay and wholesale4um 6 years ago…. other than
that he seems like an enigma…one thing’s for sure…
HE’S AN ALIEN not from this world…
lol”
Then you started posting your comments on my blog.
Approximately 10 of you expressed your liking to what you read.
And that thought came again:
“John you are invisible out there and visible for less than 10
people.”
I’ll tell you what.
I can live with it.
And I am happy with it.
For 3 reasons:
a. Because as said I am happy with my results,
b. Because this is how the NET works my friend, and
c. Because it’s logical not to bother at all.
The simple truth is that EVERYBODY, you too, can get
a share of the success-pie on the Net. The pie is BIG.
You can get a small piece, be happy and still be
invisible. DO you care? I do not.
In fact, I knew that years ago:
That even a SMALL piece of the pie of online success
would mean A LOT to my PERSONAL success.
Personally I believe that I have not started yet, so
eventually everybody will know who JD is
but this is
not a big issue.
The big issue is that you can get a SMALL piece
of the pie and win your personal freedom.
Tell me something…
If you win 1 BILLION dollars tomorrow, chances are you
will need less than 1 million dollars to fulfill your
personal dreams. Let’s say, you will need another 10
million of dollars for making presents to your friends
and family. You will still have 989,000,000 millions to
spend. And you may die without having spent that money.
This is how I feel and how the Net works.
Just a small piece of the pie can bring freedom
in your life.
Everything beyond that point is super duper luxury.
I am sure you can live without that super duper luxury too.
Take care,
John Delavera
p.s. LOL… Imagine how “Invisible” I was when I was sending
my newsletter to less than 100 people and when I had created
TurboReferer only. :)) Ah… Life is wonderful…
p.p.s. Did this message make you understand that you can
be turbo happy to your personal microcosm? If yes, then
this is the “lesson” for today; this p.p.s. only.

John,
I love this post! It’s so funny! It makes me feel a whole lot better about being invisible online. It helps to put things into perspective. If I can just make enough to pay for law school when the time comes, I’ll be perfectly content.

John
You are more than visible to those of us that are passionate about internet marketing. So I can’t imagine anyone not knowing who you are unless they just crawled out from under a rock. BTW, Have you ever overturned a rock and looked at what was hiding there?
I was online for less than 1 month and I knew your name and that you had created a line of “Turbo” products. It took me another 10 months of stumbling about before your message finely penetrated my brain and I was smart enough to hook up with what you offer.
I count myself lucky to be one of your fans, students, and followers.
If what you have accomplished is just a small piece of the pie, I can’t wait to see what you accomplish in the future. Hopefully I’ll catch a crumb or two .

John,
I love your style!
You always have a way of showing us how to look at the same picture someone else wants us to see but with your unique style it always takes on a new meaning with a fresh perspective and adds new vission.
“siamese†posters…
Gotta love it

Invisible is infinite, infinite is abundance.

John,
You brought a smile to my face with this post… LOL.
But you make a good point, and I think it is part of the beauty of this business. The playing field is the same for everyone, right?
I too am lucky to have the chance to learn from the best.
Thank you.

John,
Those of us that have known you for quite sometime, (I quite possibly am among that group of the first 100 subscribers to your list, from the time you were still in the “old country”) we feel just fine that you are not more widely known throughout the ‘net. If you had all of those people placing demands on your time, we would never get to see the fine products you bring us.
We will give to you all of the true, unequivocal love you can stand. To the point of saturating your ego to the fullest extent possible.
You are losing nothing by not being known by so many. It is they who are suffering a terrible lose by not knowing you and your great work.
If it is notoriety that you want, we members of TurboMembership will oblige you by pasting your name throughout the ‘net in big bold letters for all the world to see, just let us know!
John, it may be stingy of us, but we would just as soon keep your creativity to ourselves.
Have a great day, and keep up the good work. Sleep well knowing there are those of us who know and appreciate your value in this community.

Nice to know you’re invisible to some John. As I keep saying though, it takes 5 years to be an overnight success. Don’t take that as a truism, but bear the analogy in mind. Too many people expect too much the day after they start.
I particularly liked your comment about mailing 100 people. Everyone has to start somewhere and no-one started with a list of 500,000 email addresses, well, not one that was any good.
Cheers,
Ric
