Secret Marketing Files - A case study

Simon Hodgkinson is a TURBO producer indeed.

I mean… he is like a machine: he never stops producing (mainly) info-products… and is also one of the few that MASTER the art of the resale rights.

I met him in London last September. To all the above I can add that he is a great guy too.

Recently he and Jeremy Gislason (his “marketing twin”) run the “Main Marketing Event III” and generated more than 1,5 MILLION Dollars in sales… I think much more - in a few weeks.

Amazing numbers eh?

But I can tell you this: It’s possible when

- you know what to do and how to do it
- you have the right “connections”

For the history, the success of the MME3 was a result of Simon & Jeremy’s personal and business success in the market for the past 3-4 years. They worked hard and managed to get those results.

Today I am going to give you a hint how they did it… I am going to tell you what they did very well all these years in order to reach the recent success with MME3…

They created many products and managed to recycle the traffic from affiliates and JV partners again and again and again.

Here is how:

Many people see a product as a product per se. YOU should not see only the epidermic surface.

And you should never create a product just for getting some sales. Money is not the target. Money just follows. The target is: the leads you can get and the connections you can generate in this market (as a product producer.)

So: the more products you create, the more established you become in the market, the more possibilities you have to participate to Joint Ventures and thus increase the number of your subscribers…

And also: the more products you create and the more viral your products are, the more leads you will get and the more powerful your position will be in the market. If you can generate sales for your JV partners then they can generate sales for you, when needled. It’s that simple.

I take as granted that there is no need to explain how to create your “connections” online. Just create your products and be active in the market.

But I’d like to give some light in the way you should create your product, so you can get (not only money but) leads that will establish you as a player in the market.

As said, you never create a product, say an ebook, just for selling it and getting some money.

You need to create the ebook in such a way so to have it sending you subscribers back to your site.

Please re-read that:

“You need to create the ebook in such a way so to have it sending you subscribers back to your site.”

Believe it or not this the number 1 SECRET of your success. Follow that advice with everything you do.

How can you do that?

There are many ways.

One of the most powerful ways is to offer your product with Master Resale Rights or MMR if you prefer. With MRR your customers can pass the product to their customers and your customers’ customers can pass/sell it to their customers too.

Let’s see an example.

Suppose you create an ebook.

You sell it for $47 and generate 100 sales. That’s a respectable amount of sales up to $4,700.

How many leads did you get?

100

You got 100 customers. Thus you got 100 leads.

If people cannot pass/sell your product then nobody else will ever know about you apart from your customers. Your customers can of course suggest your products to others.

Let’s say that your existing customers suggest your product to another 100 customers.

That makes the money you get $9,400

How many leads did you get in total?

200

What can you do with 200 leads? Mmm… Nothing special.

I’ll tell you why.

Suppose you want to use your list of 200 people in order to promote another product as an affiliate.

When you send a message to your lists, chances are that 20% will open the message. 20% is a good percentage. It’d be 30% or more but let’s use that number for now and say that everybody of that 20% will ALSO click the link to see what you offer to them. This is not what happens in reality, but let’s assume it.

What do we have so far?

You send the message to 200 people.

20% of them, aka: 40 people open the message and visit your suggested URL.

I’ll tell you this: You’d feel happy if 3% of those people buy the product…

That makes 40 x 3% = 1.2 sales.

Say that you promote a product that sells for $47 and the commission you get is 50%. 1.2 sales generate less than $50 in commissions…

Not much, eh?

A note: The 3% mentioned above is also associated with the “sales letter’s conversion.” So if the sales letter to which you send traffic has a conversion of 10% then you’d generate 40 x 10% = 4 sales… FYI a 10% conversion is a marketer’s dream.

Again… 4 sales would have given to you $94 as commissions.

Remember: You used a list of 200 customers for generating those results.

What can you do for increasing the number of your leads?

Sell your product with Master resale rights is 1 suggestion. There are many other suggestions, but we shall focus on this one for now.

Study the numbers below and see the difference.

We said that your product/ebook costs $47. Say you offer the master resale rights for $77

(Remember: money is NOT the target.)

Say you managed to sell it to 100 people=master resellers.

You got 100 leads and $7,700 from the sales.

Now here is what happens…

Those 100 master resellers will want to get their money back. So they are going to sell the product to their customers.

Say that each one of those 100 master resellers sells the ebook to 10 people. That way…

…100 master resellers generate 1000 sales in total.

Do you remember my advice?

“You need to create the ebook in such a way so to have it sending you subscribers back to your site.”

In the first scenario, you managed to sell your ebook to 200 people and you got 200 leads.

If you created your ebook in such a way so to get visitors back to your site, then can you imagine what will happen with the second scenario???

1000 customers will open your ebook, and depending on how well did you structure your ebook they shall click to visit YOUR site…

Even if ONLY 20% of them click and visit your site and subscribe with your newsletter, then you got another 200 leads!

Can you see how do you leverage everything?

You sell your ebook to 200 people. Then you sell master resale rights. You get 100 more customers, 300 leads in total. Your master resellers sell the ebook to -say- 1000 people in total.

YOU get 200 more leads! Plus the money from the master resale rights’ sale…

Can you imagine what will happen if your 100 master resellers of yours sell the ebook to 20 people instead of 10 people each???

That would make the total sales: 2000

If 20% of them would visit your site and would subscribe with your newsletter then you got another 400 leads…

Remember what I told you in the beginning?

“…you never create a product, say an ebook, just for selling it and getting some money.

You need to create the ebook in such a way so to have it sending you subscribers back to your site.”

In our examples above we worked with a percentage of 20%. What if you used a different structure that would allow you to get 100% of those leads???

I mean this:

100 master resellers sell the ebook to 10 people each. 1000 people get your ebook. You get 1000 new leads…

Is this possible? Of course it it.

It all depends on the way you STRUCTURE your ebook and the WAY you OFFER everything…

I started this “discussion” today by mentioning Simon and Jeremy. Needless to say, that they both create their products in the way I described you above.

Another good example is Jeremy’s membership sites. Jeremy used to offer a free access to his site as a Bonus through joint venture partners. I told you there are many ways to make your product sending leads back to you. This is another way. Jeremy’s partners used that bonus, their customers were getting the access to Jeremy’s site and Jeremy was getting new LEADS!

If you study the procedures described above you will see that the more products you create the more leads you get from your resellers and/or JV partners.

That’s how successes of 1,5 million dollars are created… Nothing magic at all. Just hard work, many products and a viral mechanism in action.

The “Secret Marketing Files” by Simon I suggest you today are PERFECT examples of what we have been discussing.

The terms of the master resale rights’ license do not allow the addition of the files to a membership site or as a bonus to another product, so you can either get the files for your personal use here:

usesell.com/p/secretfiles

Or get the master resale rights from here: usesell.com/p/secretfiles/master.htm

If you get the ebooks for your own use, then once you open them please study how Simon directs you on his sites THROUGH the ebook…

And if you get the master resale rights, then also study the way these 3 reports are being used: one report upsells the other 2 and there is a final upsell in the thank you for customers that got the first ebook only..

I hope I did not confuse you today.

Others would sell this information as a special report you know :) but I do hope you enjoyed the free reading.

Yours,

John Delavera

    Hi John

The information you provide in your post today, could, rightly, command a price ($47)?? as an ebook.

It is a very educational and informative post.

It is also revealing, in that it shows the motivation that goes into producing any product, or series of products, and how ‘aspiring marketers’ need to view the product creation process. ie. Not as an ‘end’ in itself, but as part of an ongoing marketing process.

Thanks for your enlightening ‘commentary’ on the process, as demonstrated by the SMF ‘Case Study’.

    Kind regards

    Ian
