One day a graduate from the Harvard University visited a lonely island in the Mediterranean Sea. The island was quite isolated from the rest of the world and that was the perfect place for the young graduate. He had just got his degree and needed some time to recharge his batteries doing nothing at all – just thinking about his future and what would be the best first actions for him to do.

He was doing “nothing” at all.

So the daily schedule was simple. Waking up, getting a coffee on the harbor, walking, sleeping, eating, drinking, and sleeping again… And thinking…

One of those “boring” days our young man walked far away from his hotel… until he reached a long lonely beach. No one was there, but he could see something in the horizon… He kept walking towards that something and understood that it was a hut…

He approached the hut and saw a man there, about 80 years old, sitting on a hand-made chair, some pieces of wood just tied together, with a rod in his hands… The old man was fishing. He was wearing a hat, smoking something that looked like a cigar and smiling…

“Hello there!” said the young man.
“Hello to yourself too!” replied the old man.

That was a surprise indeed, because the young man did not expect that old man to speak English at all.

“How is it going?” asked the young man…
“What…? Ah… the fishing?” answered the old man and smiled. “I just kill my time enjoying the view of the sea. But if I catch a dummy fish too that would be nice. ”

The 2 men laughed.
Then silence.

“My name is John Prescott.” the young man said.
“Oh… Nice to meeting you Mr. Prescott. I am George.”

And they shake hands. The old man gave his left hand since he was holding his cigar with his right hand.

Then silence again.
Both the 2 men were looking at the sea.

It was silence at its best.
A relaxing silence.

“I see you speak English well…” said the young man.
“Haha…” the old man laughed. “I can understand and speak some. I got lessons for more than 65 years from all the tourists visiting my hut…”

“Mmm.. You mean… have you spent your life here?”

“Yep. In that simple nice hut. Me, my rod, the sea and God.” answered the old man.

“Bizarre” the young man thought but said nothing.

They both laughed.

“So what do you do?” asked the old man.

“Me? I just graduated from the Harvard University and I am going to become a lawyer in Dallas.”

“A lawyer? Mmmm… So you are wise and rich eh?” said the old man.
“Wise and rich? Haha! Why are you saying that?” the young man said.

“Because lawyers know how to confuse people and get the right answers they want and graduates from Harvard have rich parents. Am I right?”

The young man laughed.

“Well… my parents are not poor, but I do not think I am wise.”

They both laughed again.
It was a nice relaxing conversation.

“And what do you want to do in your life? Make more money?” asked the old man.

“Haha… Well… you can say that.” answered the young man. “I shall create a law firm and then hire some people to work for me.”

“And then?” asked the old man.

“Then, I may create branches to other States and hire more people to work for me.” answered the young man.

“And then?” asked the old man.

“Then I may get involved with politics. You know that every mom in the US wants to see her son a President…”

“Yes” answered the old man “My mother wanted me to become a President too. And I am not American. And then?”

“Well… depending on how well all the plans go I shall be able to create a fortune by the age of 40.”

“…and then…” asked the old man.

“Then I shall be married, perhaps a woman with a successful career too, and have children… make more money…”

“…and then…” asked the old man.

“And then… Mmm… I think that when I shall have enough money… then…”

“…then…” asked the old man.

“…to tell you the truth I do not know what will happen on that age, but I think that when I shall have the money I want, I shall also have free time to do anything I want…”

The old man smiled, and said:

“This is exactly what I have been doing here all my life.”

End of the story.

I have been thinking this story for the last 2-3 years…

I think Life is Great and also quite funny.

We are trained with specific goals in our minds. We are trained to become money machines. And we have to reach the age of 40, 50, 60 or more in order to make our great discovery… We have been taught that success in life is measured by what we shall do in life and the money we shall earn. In order to reach that success we invest to things, products, services, goodies, people, and plans. We keep investing and then start paying our debts back – because investments generate loans from the Banks too. Finally we realize that we are a kind of marionettes of a Greater Plan drafted by The Banks, The Government and some other Big Guys that want us to behave, live and treat others as CONSUMERS. Otherwise there would be no market and no money for allowing economies to survive. We spend money in order to earn more money and when we either reach the level we want or when we cannot do anything more, we reach and comprehend our greatest discovery…

That…
We have been raised in the wrong way.

That what our soul needs, what our soul needed anyway all these years was just 1 thing:

Freedom.

Or you could say: The freedom to live a simple life where no debts exist, where we can just enjoy life by waking up and thanking God we are alive just for one more day.

One could say:

“John, it’s easy to make those thoughts now you are living the lifestyle you wanted.”

Well… yes. Because as you can easily imagine, I can see how wrong I have been in the past acting like a consumer.
But I need to clarify the following:

I am not saying that we do not need money today.

What I trying to tell you here is that MONEY is not the target. Money CAN help you to live the life you ever wanted. But WHILE TRYING to make the money you want, you must not lose yourself. You must DISCOVER yourself instead. This is what I am telling you.

For example, when I am telling you to be unique and creative and also create your own BRAND on the Net, I am telling you exactly the same thing: Live the way you want to live and not the way others FORCE you to live.

Discover YOURSELF.

And you know what?

Unique people sell MUCH online…
Unique minds sell a lot.

Discover YOURSELF and stop being a marionette of others. Do what you want because after all, we have only 1 life – I mean on Earth. Because after all you spend all of your life in order to be able to do what you want to do EVENTUALLY when you will be wiser, older, richer and free…

So I propose you the faster way.

Do what you want to do RIGHT HERE and RIGHT NOW.
Today.

Be yourself and find what you can do best.
And yes, there are always customers that can pay for that uniqueness.

Money is not the target; it is the Means to reach your destination – but above all you must know where you want to go. As I told you in the past, once you know where you’re going, others will prepare that road for you in a magical way – this is how Life works and yes it is amazing when you see it happening to you too.

Think everything again and then try to see Life under that perspective.

Try to see what I offer to you under that perspective too.

Can you see the light now?

MONEY IS NOT THE TARGET.

I do what I love to do. And there are people that love to see me doing what I love to do.

I buy everything is offered online with ANY kind of rights and SHARE them with my turbo members. I bake ideas and invent ways that can make my people’s life easier in the form of scripts and applications and SHARE those tools with my people. I share the knowledge that allowed me to become what I am today.

I do what I love to do.
And I do it the TURBO way.

Some of you may say:

“OK then. Give us free access to everything!”

That would be great, right?

I wish I could do that. But then I assure you, MANY of you would see what I offer as “another freebie.”

Plus: as you should have discovered by now, Life wants us to appreciate the things we obtain. This is why we work anyway: to get what we deserve to obtain/buy.

You are my “fuel” on economical terms.

As you know if there is no fuel the car cannot operate or move, and since we live in a society that money is THE MEANS to reach where we want to go, then see what is offered as…

…a Contract between you and me.

Something like that:

“You can jump on my car and I shall drive you the right way or where ever you want to go. You will just cover my fuel.”

Good Contract?

The “marketer” inside me tells me to stop because an article more than 500 words is considered as a boring one. This is what other marketers may say too. But I shall not stop because I do not want to. Since you are reading these lines you are the audience I want and need right now, and I have more things to say.

The conclusion of the first part of these ramblings is to think of money as the means and not as the target and that you need to free yourself, stop thinking they way others want you to think, discover yourself and just ACT online. People will pay for that uniqueness. Lastly: I am here to cover your needs on this journey – if you cover my fuel.

The second part of my ramblings is related to those of you that want to become more stars than the Stars and cannot compromise themselves with the fact that they can be HAPPY by just being SECOND in life – instead of trying to behave or act as leaders – they way they had been taught to by society, parents, their environment, etc.

As said every mom wants to see her son becoming a President. Or a lawyer. Or a doctor. Something BIG in general. But this attitude will kill all other jobs…

You see… we need the plumbers too. We need the street cleaners. We need those that will repair our shoes, our cars… or fix various things in our house… like the refrigerator… or the washing cleaner.

I feel very happy when I see people that love what they are doing NOT because they TURN to that profession because they could not do anything else, but because they CHOSE that profession.

Can you see the difference?

I find it quite naive to spend a life just for proving to yourself that you cannot become a President – and THEN “suffice” yourself by doing something else unrelated to your soul just for making some money and live.

I am sure that mom and dad will feel bad if you tell them that you realize you are not that smart to become a President and you will become a plumber instead, but if you LOVE being a plumber and this is what you really want to do then you are a wise wo/man indeed, and just say sorry to your parents.

The difficulty comes when you cannot ACCEPT how far you can go. The problem arises when others want to see you a President and you have the same wish too, but you are not that kind of person.

Think about it.
If you do not have a strong stomach, then how can you preserve the rights of your country? If you feel sad for everything “bad” you do, how can you be STRONG enough to DO what you must do when Country says so?

The advice to discover yourself is repeated here.

Let’s apply the lesson to Internet Marketing now.

There is no need to become a Shark if you cannot eat people and when blood makes you sick.
Do you know that there is a small fish that lives ONLY from what it eats from the shark’s teeth? Do you know that? Since sharks will always want to eat that quantity of food, those small fish will NEVER starve.

Think about it.

If you cannot be a Guru online for VARIOUS reasons, why wasting your life trying to becoming someone you cannot reach, instead of discovering ways to live and prosper FROM WHAT OTHERS DO?

Does this smell “affiliate marketing” to you?

YES…

And guess what…

IF you discover yourself and finally accept that you cannot become a super duper turbo creator of 100+ products… IF you can LIVE and be happy with this fact… then you will FREE yourself. Then you can make money from what other super duper turbo producers create.

I am not telling you to promote me.

Think wider.

In fact I am talking about myself here! Not you…!

Since November 11, 2007 those 3 emails generated the following checks from ClickBank:

2007-12-16 $2,325.38 (so far)
2007-12-01 $1,477.85
2007-11-16 $746.76

Total amount: $4,549.99
In 27 days.

And I do not count the sales of my products or services.
I do not mention those numbers to tell you how great I am.
On the contrary.

What I did was to ACT like that little fish.
I just ate the food from 3 Sharks.

The funny thing is that there was – there is still- enough food to feed many small fish; all others that promoted those products… I am sure you got good results too if you promoted the same products.

It will make things easier to just forget who I am.

Let’s say I am just someone unknown that has accepted the fact that s/he cannot create one single product… BUT for the reason s/he discovered that FACT early in his/her life s/he FOCUSED on 1 thing only.

And that 1 thing was to create JUST 1 page online.

NOTHING ELSE.

Just 1 page.

On that page s/he put a subscription form.
S/he called that page something like:

“The Heaven To Riches By Me”

and s/he used this plan:

S/he was ordering products s/he could sell either with or without any rights. People sell products with resale, master resale and PL rights like crazy today.

So that wo/man in our example, was ordering those products, then was checking to see if s/he could give them away and then was adding those products as BONUSES to her/his newsletter. Thus ALL of her/his subscribers would get everything free just for subscribing with the newsletter called “The Heaven To Riches By Me”

This is what s/he had been doing for the last 3 years…
That way s/he generated a list of 10,000 people.

That way s/he was able to send an email to her/his list and tell people:

“Hey… Do you know that Jimmy D. Brown sells PLR for his products??? Yes! The deal was just released last night and it will sell out soon. Take a look!”

Since Jimmy’s sales letter generates something like a 25% conversion, that means for every 100 people you send there, 25 BUY.

It’s a matter of numbers.

So the wo/man in our example sent the message to those 10,000 people.

Let’s say that ONLY 1000 people on her/his list open that message..
Let’s say that only 100 of them visited Jimmy’s site.

What we have here is:

100 x 25% = 25 sales x ~$44 commission per sale = $1,100 from 1 message…

I know what you may think right now…

“Yes… but I do not have a list of 10,000 people…”

Well.. the question is…

Do you have a “The Heaven To Riches By Me” newsletter?

???

And guess what…

No matter what you think, no matter how you feel about it, no matter if you believe me or not, the truth is that this is exactly how I started years ago… with my “TurboReferer Newsletter” – Turbozine followed afterwards.

And what frustrates me indeed is that no matter how many times I have been repeating this advice for the last 5 years, few… and I mean VERY FEW people followed that advice and managed to create that 1 page with their “The Heaven To Riches By Me” newsletter and do what I suggest here and what I did too…

And then again, fewer people CONTINUED to communicate with their people through their “The Heaven To Riches By Me” newsletter… they way I do today with you.

No matter what you will read, no matter what you will hear, no matter how many seminars you will attend and how much money you will spend online, there is NO other way to make money online other than creating your own list of your people.

While planning your super turbo product for becoming a killer Shark in the Sea of this Market, remember that there are daily needs to be covered: act like a little fish and cover your needs by eating some food from other Sharks.

Remember that success will NOT come from the sales your super duper turbo product will generate.

Success (aka. MONEY as the means to live the life you want) will come ONLY by the amount of people you have in your lists and furthermore, by the number of people that trust YOU what you say and offer.

If you do not discover yourself you can say nothing to your newsletter’s subscribers anyway. There are 1000s of newsletters out there. If you have nothing to say, then you will have no newsletter to send…
Thinking it again…. there are TONS of ways to KEEP UP with your lists of subscribers and offer them TONS OF GOODIES even if you cannot say anything to them or even if you do not write 1 word in English… Amazing? Yes it is. It’s how it is exactly.

Furthermore…

If you discover yourself and decide that you cannot be a President or a Shark on this business, but you have other talents instead that are called “trivial” by others, like… setting up websites, or writing or rewriting small articles, or talking with people, or creating graphics, or…. SOMETHING anyway….

…then you can even work for Sharks and help them eat more food… that will make more little fish happy, the shark happier and yourself happy too…

At the very bottom end, you need to discover yourself and see what you can eventually want to do.

What you can do right NOW can bring profits.
What you can do tomorrow can establish you in the market.

But you just need to take care of your daily needs too.
