I haven’t done this for a long time, but Joe Chengery reminded it to me… (Thanks Joe!)
I am talking about the Contests I use to run every Tuesday back in 2002 and up to 2004.. Running a contest is such a simple idea, and still so underestimated… I hardly see marketers running VALUABLE contests online today, apart from the contests related to affiliate competitions…
So I decided to run a contest… today!
Here are the terms:
- Read the Text of the contest below; it describes one of my personal experiences in the past.
- Read the Question of the Contest below.
- Then post your answer as a comment to this thread.
- You can post only 1 answer. Minimum words: 250. Maximum words: 750.
- Only the answers posted until Tuesday 29th of January at 11:55 pm EST will be eligible for this contest.
- The BEST DOCUMENTED answer gets $100 cash. If you are a turbo member and win this contest then you get $150 instead.
- DISCLAIMER: I reserve the indisputable right to select the answer I judge as the best and there can be only 1 winner. All answers may be used as content to materials published by The Internet Company, LLC. If you do not agree with the terms of this contest, please do not participate.
The winner will be contacted by Ed, my PA, on January 30.
Enjoy!

==== The Text Of The Contest ===
In the University I became the favorite student of one of my favorite (too) professors.
One day he asked the class:
“Can one of you give the definition for the word: beauty?”
I answered:
“Everything symmetric.”
And that is the correct answer…
That professor still remembers me. And he is still one of the most respectable people I have ever met - because of his beautiful mind.
Think about it…
You may have seen men and women that while cannot be called gorgeous, they do have a symmetry on their face and body. That symmetry, that well-proportioned parts of their face and body make them handsome and/or beautiful.
Think about it for a while and you will see I am correct.
Symmetry is what makes the whole universe beautiful too.
Planets are symmetric.
Flowers are symmetric.
Animals are symmetric.
And when ever symmetry is violated then we use to name those non-symmetric things as “beasts.” Because they do not comply with symmetry and because symmetry is a built-in criterion not only for the beautiful things and livings but also for all the well-being status of creatures and things.
So here is a tip and a rule of the thumb if you want to make something look awesome: make it symmetric.
==== The Question Of The Contest ===
How can symmetry be applied to Internet Marketing and how that knowledge of “Everything symmetric is beautiful” can help you as an Internet Marketer?
May The Best Win!

Ok John, I will give this a “college” try (hehehe)…
I think symmetry applies to Internet Marketing:
Take an Internet Marketing Business for instance…one business may not be “perfect” or “gorgeous” in every way…but that does not eliminate the possibility for it to be symmetrical. Even if just the site for this web business looks a little ugly, all of the parts of that business (product delivery, autoresponders, testing, tracking, promotion, etc…) might work together, tested and tweaked really well…or symmetrically. These “cogs working together symetrically” result in all of the parts of the whole making a more effective whole internet business than just a “gorgeous” website or any other part by itself alone.
I think having the knowledge of “everything symmetric is beautiful” will help me as an Internet Marketer because I know that I do NOT have to perfect anything, but rather balance everything in my online business to make it effective and productive. For example, I know that if I invest time on only one part of my business, that other parts of my business could falter, and therefor the symmetry of my business could be lost. But I also know that to recover that symmetry will not require me to perfect every part of my business, rather analyze my business in parts of the whole…find those parts that are not contributing to the symmetry of the whole business, and restore only those parts to symmetric balance.
But the main way I can have a beautiful Internet Business, is to equate my business to our solar system, if one part of that solar system fails completely, the whole system fails.
Advertising, Autoresponders, Delivery systems, CRM Systems, Outsourcing systems, all the systems must work in symmetry. (278 words)

Greetings, John!
Kudos to you for creating such an incredible contest.
Before I reveal my final response to your question, let me tell you a little story. After you’ve read it, you will understand how this applies to my view of “symmetry” in the world of Internet marketing.
Once upon a time there was a farmer who planted two fruit trees on opposite sides of his property.
One of the fruit trees provided a hedge that would hide the unsightly view of an old landfill.
The other fruit tree was planted to provide shade for those who wanted to rest under the tree and to be near a cool mountain stream which ran down beside his fields.
As the two trees grew, both began to flower and bear fruit.
One day the farmer decided to gather the fruit from the tree nearest his house (the one that provided a hedge from the landfill). As he brought the fruit inside the house, he noticed that it was a little deformed. The symmetry of the fruit was not very good, but still the fruit looked edible.
Later that evening, while sitting on his porch, the farmer took one of the pieces of fruit for a snack. Biting into the fruit, he found that it tasted extremely bitter, and completely inedible. It didn’t provide a solution and it didn’t satisfy his hunger. Thus, he tossed the fruit aside and looked across the field to the other tree next to the mountain stream.
After walking across the field, the farmer took a piece of the fruit from the other tree and bit into it. It was sweet and delicious. He gathered several more pieces of the fruit and took them to his house.
He realized that the fruit was greatly affected by the nutrition of the root. Just as the tree that grew by the landfill tasted bitter, the tree by the stream produced sweet fruit.
What does this story have to do with “symmetry” as it relates to Internet marketing?
John, this story reveals that consumers have two choices. They can be tricked to buy from someone whose roots are planted in deception (”I just want to sell this product to make money”) or they can buy from someone who is rooted in providing them with a “sweet, yet symmetrical” solution that satisfies what they were originally searching for.
The “symmetry” of the fruit (product) is the outward evidence of the inward motivation. When we understand the client’s problem, and truly deliver a product that provides the root to their solution, rather than hiding an ugly motivation, we create the “fruit” and the customer buys.
We’ve all “tasted the bitter fruit” and purchased the products that promised results; but few tasted sweet (regardless of the symmetry) after we pulled out our credit card to buy the product.
A consumer may be tricked once by you, but they won’t be tricked twice. The “beauty and symmetry” is to become a trusted authority (no matter how bad your sales page is, or the ugly writing of your One-Time-Offer (OTO)).
If your product delivers what you promise, you have gained a customer for life.

Squarely positioned and in perfect balance is the win-win nexus of merging the concept of “Everything symmetric is beautiful†with that of the Internet Marketer as a responsible social being. Symmetry, of course, is balance. In the internet marketplace, balance means embodying our products and services with a level of value – to and for our customers – equal to that which we ourselves would find most useful and satisfying, if we were in our customers shoes. It means treating our customers and all who interact with us on the business stage with the same – if not more – respect and polished depths of integrity that we would want lavished on ourselves and those we love. It means recognizing the beauty of the individual entities who together bring life to our lists. It means waking up every morning, grateful for the privilege of being of the greatest possible service to each customer; each potential joint venture partner; each new idea for a product that will serve them even more. To do this, we must know and understand who we serve and love them – yes, love them – unconditionally through our offers, and never deliberately cause those who would hear our message even the smallest amount of pain.
To some this flies in the face of much of what we have learned about marketing basics. We are told to follow the PAS formula of: Naming a PROBLEM, stirring up or AGITATING the pain caused by the problem, to set the stage for riding in on a white horse with our product or service that will cure, eliminate or SOLVE that problem. I have tried for three years to wrap my head around that way of doing business and, en fin, I cannot. Doing so means voluntarily donning the slickster’s hat and accepting as truth that only by spreading pain can I embrace prosperity. I cannot. Where’s the balance in that? Where’s the love, the service, the integrity, the humanity, my dignity in that?
Truly, there is great value in knowing the psychology of marketing, being familiar with “buying trigger words,†and in studying the techniques used by the most successful marketers of both the past and the present. This is so because–in the thinking circles I am familiar with–it is common knowledge that you must know the “rules†(or the common way the game is played) so that you can most effectively and intelligently break them when you feel it is right to do so. In this, I have adapted the physician’s credo: “I shall do no harm†to my customers. By treating my customers – on and off the net – as I would have myself be treated, I bring the beauty of symmetry to all I do as a marketer. I make it safe for my customers to trust me. And, I can sleep peacefully at night knowing I have given my best.
So, what does this all mean to the new throngs of people coming into internet marketing? It means they must find something of true value to trade for their customer’s dollar. It means if they don’t have a valuable, useful product of their own to offer, they must scour the Clickbank’s of our world to find the best products to associate themselves with. And how is “best product†defined: It means they must know the people who make up their market, and then ask, first: “Would my market benefit from this?†If the answer is “yes†then ask: “How can I add more value?†This way of doing business embraces the beauty of symmetry in the marketplace.

Hi John,
To simply explain how symmetry can be applied to Internet Marketing…
I would say to build your online (or even offline) business with a SYSTEM.
A systematic business looks neat, tidy and trustworthy, people tends to trust it.
Just like you will trust a person more that looks more “symmetic”, when you compare two people with their appearance… at the first glance.

Begining with the first idle thought.
A progression of action and reaction as building blocks, one locking to the other.
The steady growth and progression of all.
Slight variation from perfection is tolerated but only if in keeping with the overall
scheme.
The compounding of actions taking effect, each building on the one previouse.
Steady growth of all the parts, taking shape and building to a climax of the
whole.
Looking at the law of symetry and applying it to the business of Internet Marketing will, if we pay close attention, have a similar outcome to the law as applied to anything else.

Symmetry in Internet Marketing is that which
describes the relationship between you and
your customer.
You should always be delivering in recompense
exactly what your customer is paying to you
whether in time, money or actions.
Although many marketers may give lip-talk
to another point of view, if you are genuinely
always delivering much more than you are
receiving in return then you will slowly start
to lose money at which point you will be
unable to deliver nothing of value to your
customer.
If you are delivering too little to your
customer, then your customer will slowly
start to resent you and will no longer
want to be your customer.
The symmetry between a marketer is the
relationship which governs them which is
a very beautiful thing and one which can
and should last for many years.
Any relationship which has respect, reciprocation
and understanding must be formed on the
basis of symmetry.

It is dangerous to think something have to be symmetric ONLY.
More dangerous if you believe that the main reason is: to gain everything in symmetric ONLY.
Yes you have to make everything in symmetric.
To make it runs well as expected.
But it is not the first step to take into consideration.
Symmetric only means that everything fallen into their places.
Symmetric only means that all features had been installed according their functions.
But not go beyond from that.
You need a goal.
It is mislead to think the features first before the goal itself.
Symmetric an sich is useless, if not, dangerous type of thinking.
You have to make these “disastrous-potentials†keep under your control.
How? In a way that it serves the initial purpose.
To guarantee the goal is confirmed.
Symmetric is one thing and the use of that symmetric is another one.
Symmetric is the way. The use is the goal.
The first can’t come into exist before the second.
And the second can’t be achieved without the first.
If it happened, the chaos (unachievable the goal) will be the result.
If it is the case, you could be in lost for sure.
If it is the case, you could be distracted easily.
If it is the case, you could be hyped unconsciously.
If it is the case, you were doomed to find your next moves.
If you have your own goals, any goal, you are then allowed to create unlimited symmetric things.
Only then everything in symmetric has a meaning and can be powerful.
Symmetric should be acknowledged as a tool.
And one thing that made symmetric-things worth is their functionalities.
So here the best part.
What happens when this simple principle of thinking applied into internet marketing?
Fortunately, it is simple.
Think the goal first and then create the page/s/ to achieve that goal!
For a simple reason or in smartway: every site is not created equal.
Yes you could buy or collect every single amazing tool available on the Net.
Say either tell-a-friend, autoresponder, peel-away or queue manager scripts.
But you can not put all of these scripts into any site.
If so, you have a misleading frame of mind.
You can create a mini site…symmetrically.
You can create an ad-sense site… symmetrically.
You can create a landing page… symmetrically.
You can create a sale letter… symmetrically.
You can create an video… symmetrically.
You can create a membership site… symmetrically.
Even you can just create one simple page…symmetrically ïŠ.
But all of these symmetric-things are useless when one simple thing non exist yet: the goal you created that pages.
You can create all the websites you ever could imagined with their features you could found.
Until you determined their functionalities, you have no ideas when and where you have to stop creating those sites.
Who in the word could say that our today top-notch Internet marketing tools are the perfect ones? None! Because everything is goal-bounded.
Your goal.
They are called to be perfect - or you can say to be symmetric - because they could give what the creators (you) want like sending money, driving traffics, collecting email address, etc.
Symmetric is just a conditio quo non.
So the conclusion is: symmetric just a tool, a means.
You have to configure the goal first.
Only then you could deploy your unlimited features.
Not otherwise though.
Think about it for awhile and you could find your ways easily.

CONTEST: Everything Symmetric is Beautiful
*****************************************************************************************************************************
Preface – due to the word count limitations of the conditions of the competition, I will not be elaborating on the 7 listed items (Well, isn’t this what Internet Marketing is all about – drip feed, tempter, don’t tell all …?),
As this is John’s competition, either he can, or I can – either way, I feel an e-book coming on!
******************************************************************************************************************************
There are various aspects of Symmetry – I have chosen “Repetitive Symmetry†to illustrate that everything symmetric is beautiful, the application to IM (?), and I have thrown in a bonus – The Magic of 7 – (always go beyond that which is required)
Why Repetitive Symmetry?
There are 7 classes of Repetitive Symmetry, each one of which builds upon the one preceding:
1. The basic model is that of simple duplication (translation) – can be duplicated once or many times
2. Building on step 1 (ie translation) by adding horizontal reflection (row mirroring). This combined application of translation & HORIZONTAL reflection, again can be repeated
3. Next we ADD a 2 fold rotation and our model now revolves around a rotation axis – again repeat this even more complex integrative model
4. Now add VERTICAL reflection (column mirroring) – guess what? REPEAT
5. To step 4, we build further by adding horizontal reflection and translation to the integrated model developed so far – and repeat!
6. Next, add 2 fold rotation, followed by vertical reflection… repeat
7. Finally, ALTERNATE vertical & horizontal reflections – we now have all symmetry elements (including reflection planes and rotational axes)…. Repeat
Interestingly, there are no further permutations and combinations, other than these 7 steps – the Magic of 7!.
What started as a single object or form, has now become an art of beauty to be admired.
Take a cup, say, and apply (practically, or imagine) the 7 steps above – what have you created?
Think of DNA helices, or a spiral staircase that was created piece by piece.
Think of Internet Marketing
And the application to IM? – have a stab at it, before all is revealed!
HINTS:
What is your IM “cupâ€
Horizontal Reflection = a row of cups and mirror image
Vertical Reflection = a column of cups and mirror image
Add together and then rotate all these etc…
Repeat, Repeat, Repeat………

The common saying is that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but there are common rules that translate in something close to perfection
We can see examples of symmetrical beauty all over the world: mathematics, architecture, design, science, logic, biology, music, religion, and even on human relations. Think about reciprocity and justice for example, a mirror reflection of our own actions. On society we can also have two lines of thinking. If we are all equal, we have a symmetrical interaction, usually known as peer relationship. If there are some more important than others, there is an asymmetrical interaction.
And scientists are finding that fundamental laws of the universe can also be written in terms of symmetric patterns.
Lets see how we can apply this to our business…
A circle has an infinite number of axes of symmetry. Symmetry is beauty. Why not centralize our business into a beautiful system?
If you have multiple sites, do you want to recreate every function and functionality whenever you create a new one? And when you need to make any change? Think about all extra and unnecessary procedures.
You need to develop a business plan, and create a simple and ordered path, even better than a funnel.
Manage your autoresponders, support system, sales, memberships, product distribution, bonus and point offers, each from a single place.
If we think about it, why are Aweber, JVManager, Kayako, and similar products so successful?
When you have your system working, you just need to rinse and repeat. With the concept of scale symmetry, if you copy an existing system, and reduce or expand it, it will still have the same properties of the original one.
Now that we know how to make success happen in theory, we just need to put this knowledge into practice.

The symmetry we have to seek in internet marketing is a shared feeling between the marketer and the customer.
When you overdeliver you want your customer to feel the same way. Then you know that share the same way of putting a value on things.
When you exchange emails you must both feel that meaningful communication is taking place.
The marketer must feel s/he is growing and learning because of the relationship they have with a customer and the customer must reciprocate that feeling.
You must both be humble because neither of you will ever know everything.
You never seek to take advantage of your customer because they don’t know something. Similarly, your customer takes time to point out errors that might cost you money, like your download link posted on a shareware site.
You must both appreciate the beauty of a well-designed site for its own sake.
You want to practise white hat methods that build a solid, longterm business. You want subscribers who are on the light side of the Force. People who want black hat should find their symmetry elsewhere.
Your mirror should be your symmetry barometer. Can you look in it every morning and truthfully say that you have done your best by your customers? Will the energy you have given out to them be matched by the energy you get back?
You shouldn’t just seek symmetry with your customers. Putting 20 Adsense spam sites a day into the world will create an ugly imbalance.
The most perfect marketing symmetry is in just two words

I broke down symmetry as it relates to Internet Marketing into 3 parts.
But before I discuss those 3, let’s step back in time a bit. If we borrow a page out of the Delaverian Code, and go back all the way to ancient Mesopotamia, we find ourselves in current day Iraq.
These people had it together. The Sumerians. The ancient Babylonians. They were a symmetrical lot. They were thinkers. They were traders. They travelled. They exchanged ideas. They wrote laws (Hammurabi’s code), much of which has survived through the millenia to this day. They built things. Life was good. Life had balance. Symmetrical living.
Ok, so to understand almost ANY concept or subject, it pays to look at it’s POLAR OPPOSITE.
What is the opposite of the above?
Without symmetry, you get Adolph Hitler. Without symmetry, you’re stuck living in North Korea with Kim Jong-il as your “Dear Leader”. The absence of symmetry is anarchy. Chaos. Fear. Censorship. The collapse of personal freedom. The subjugation of the individual for the “good of the state”. Propaganda. Distortion. Lies. Totalitarianism. Fascism.
What does all this have to do with Internet Marketing, you ask?
Simple. If you take your cue from the ancients, you want to adopt these 3 symmetrical practices:
Customer Symmetry
As the movie so colorfully illustrated, you have to PAY IT FORWARD. Be relentless in delivering value, in expanding on that value, in providing excellent customer service, in adopting the principle of overdelivering, and hordes of customers will arrive…and stay indefinitely.
Supplier Symmetry
Your suppliers are your lifeline. Your service providers, tools providers, MENTORS (this contest is a demonstration of customer/supplier symmetry) must be nurtured and respected. Go the extra mile for them. And symmetrical behavior will come back your way every time.
Partner Symmetry
These are your industry peers. Collaborators on projects. Joint Venture partners. Listbuilding co-conspirators. Mastermind participants. The Brotherhood. Build a reputation of delivering the goods and it will be “Katie, bar the door!” when the word gets out.
There are many other symmetries in life. Relationship symmetry. Spiritual Symmetry. Personal health and wellness symmetry. Don’t forget that symmetries are synergistic! Huh? Yep. They even come from a similar root word. sym and syn. My point is, they are inextricably related. The more components of your life that are symmetrical, the more they synergistically work in your favor, instead of against you. Embrace symmetry in all aspects of your business and life and you’ll zoom ahead of all but a precious few.
January 28th, 2008 at 2:44 am
According to Dictionary.com, symmetric is defined as “well-proportioned, as a body or whole; regular in form or arrangement of corresponding parts.” I see the application of this knowledge to Internet Marketing in three distinct areas.
1. Concrete application: Your website should be laid out in a symmetrical fashion; for example, having a main content area down the middle of the page with equal areas of background on both sides. If you add a column to one side of the content area, there should be another one on the other side. The content text itself should be balanced with white space. The entire site should be ‘well-proportioned’, with your content not being overwhelmed by graphics, ads or flashing banners.
2. Marketing application: Your business methods should also reflect symmetry. There should be a balance between how much you sell and how much you give away. Time spent selling and actively promoting a product or website needs to be offset by time spent learning and studying as well as testing and adjusting. Money put out for advertising should be in alignment with money brought in from sales.
3. Life application: As an Internet Marketer, you spend a great deal of time furthering your business goals. Don’t forget to balance work time with time away from the computer, staying connected with family and friends. Giving to charities and making donations should be in proportion to how much you earn. Keep your life in balance and well proportioned; your business will follow suit.

“The Secret Is Circles”(7 letter word)
So if symmetry is balanced and proportional. We can say that it must be even-steven so to speak.
If we think even(2) this will give us a pair.
A circle can/is a pair of opposite pairs. Two half’s make a whole(symmetric).
Between two entities there is a line.(it’s there)
The line is the diameter of the circle.
Lines and circles are Pi(pie) (Continues cycle)
Refer to Einstein theory E=m*c^2
There is no energy without mass
There is no mass without energy
There is no Symmetry without balance.

Intuition-Behavior

The circle is the most basic particle. (atom, molecule)
Everything is a circle. whether you see it or not.
Now about Internet Marketing and the beauty of symmetry.
Once again we refer to the circle.
You set your goals to achieve. But they never end. you may reach them and you may make more, but there is no end. It’s a circle.
To give you a perfect look at Symmetry one can Observe the Big Yellow Book.
Look at the autoresponder portion that John has explained. There is no end.
A-B-C AA-BB-CC and its all automated and centralized from a continuing circle.
The circle is the basis for…
“what goes around comes around”
The community or group you build your relationships with is a circle.
Continue to grow your circle. Don’t focus on the wrong opposite.
With success comes failure.
This is beauty.

Think Big! Act Small!
P.S. I have not lost my marbles. I am still symmetrical;)

G’Day John,
I disagree, not all beauty is symmetrical.
Sunsets are not symmetrical,
clouds are not symmetrical,
beaches are not symmetrical,
mountains are not symmetrical,
orchids are not symmetrical,
almost no Australian trees are symmetrical.
There are many others.
In Internet Marketing, Niche marketing is not a symmetrical activity. Mostly you are looking for a small “pointy” market, not a large fat well rounded market.
Internet Marketing requires a laser focus on any activity until it is working, while there is a certain symmetry in being laser focussed it is certainly not well rounded or symmetrical in all aspects.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder but it doesn’t have to be symmetrical to be beautiful.
I guess that leaves me out of the competition.

Brent

Hello John, thanks for holding this contest - greatly appreciated!

Symmetry is very important in all facets of life and the universe. The balance or harmony of form that comes with symmetry creates order. Without that symmetry, the universe could not exist, as planets and natural satellites would crash into each other and into the stars they orbit, obliterating solar systems that make up our galaxies, which make up the universe.
Without symmetry, there would be no water cycle and no oxygen-carbon cycle, both of which are essential to life on Earth. Symmetry is what allows water to evaporate into the atmosphere, where clouds eventually cannot carry it further, releasing it into the ground. Without symmetry providing a consistent replenishment of the water supply, life could not exist on Earth. Symmetry is what allows animal life to breathe oxygen and exhale carbon dioxide and plant life to breathe carbon dioxide and exhale oxygen. Without this symmetry, life would not exist on Earth.
Without symmetry, humankind would not be able to reach its greatest potential, that when the mind and body work together as one unit to achieve humankind’s dreams and solve humankind’s greatest problems with innovative solutions. Without symmetry, humankind would not have achieved what we have achieved to this point in our history.
Symmetry is also essential to your online business surviving and thriving in the Internet marketing world. Without symmetry, your efforts will not allow your business to survive in the long-term. While you may make some initial sales, you will not be able to gain the sales, trust, and reputation you need for your business to survive long-term. In order to do that, you must have a plan that involves symmetry among your Internet marketing components.
All your components, including autoresponder messages, opt-in lists, email messages, websites, sales pages, SEO, link building, tagging, free giveaways, blog entries, RSS feeds, podcasts, joint ventures, articles, OTOs, classified ads, forum postings, and teleseminars, have to focus on your one main goal: to promote your ability to provide for the market(s) you are catering to for the long-term. In other words, promoting your Unique Selling Proposition. That is the only way your business will gain the profits, trust, and reputation it needs to be successful in the long-term.
Without all these elements working in harmony (i.e. being symmetrical to your USP,) your efforts will not bring you the long-term results that will allow your business to survive and thrive. Your link building, SEO, and tagging efforts will not get your site listed in the search engines, which will keep search engine users from visiting your websites. Your articles, classified ads, forum postings, and blog entries will not convince people to sign up for your opt-in lists. As a result, they won’t receive your autoresponder messages, so they will not be convinced to head to your sales pages to buy your products/services, which will result in your marketing efforts not producing enough profits and success to maintain your business for the long-term. This will lead to no teleseminars, no joint venture proposals, and no involvement in free giveaway promotions that could boost your business’ reputation and profits further.
Without symmetry amongst your Internet marketing components, your business will not gain the profits, trust, and reputation of the market(s) you are serving in order for it to survive long-term.
This is why John created JVManager and Fantasos – he knows that the only way to really be successful at online marketing, successful enough to make a career out of it, is to centralize your Internet marketing activities so that they are all working towards promoting your business’ USP of being the business that can meet the needs of the market(s) your business is catering to. When you centralize your Internet marketing activities, in effect, you’re making your activities symmetrical, where they are all working toward that harmony of convincing that (those) market(s) that your business can meet the needs of that (those) market(s), both in the short-term and in the long-term.
Only by having your Internet marketing activities working in symmetry will your online business achieve the long-term success that will enable you to free your mind and body from the work-related stress of living paycheck to paycheck, allowing your mind and body to be more in unison (i.e. symmetrical.) Therefore, working in the most symmetrical manner possible can lead to a person being able to live a more symmetrical life in terms of mind and body, enabling him/her to achieve his/her greatest potential as a human being, and that truly is beautiful!

Symmetric, beauty and Internet Market-ing/er!
Let’s look at this quest with two different concepts.
1.Scientific/Mathematical
2.Basic/simple
1. Scientific/Mathematical: The American Heritage Science Dictionary explains the word symmetric: Relating to a logical or mathematical relation between two elements such that if the first element is related to the second element, the second element is related in like manner to the first. The relation a = b is symmetric, whereas the relation a > b is not.
For arguments sake, let’s consider:
“a†as the Internet Marketer and “b†as the Internet Customer.
(Internet Marketer) = (Internet Customer)
And see what happens when we apply Albert Einstein’s famous E=m*c^2 simple, beautiful and powerful formula to this:
{E~(Internet Marketer)} = {m*c^2~(Internet Customer)}
And to complete the formula, let’s also add John Delavera’s “Traffic†system which is one of the most important ingredients of the Internet Marketing, where he symmetrically announces “TRAFFIC is the Holy Grail of Internet Marketing†in the pre-release membership.
Well, we will get something like this:
{E~(Internet Marketer)} = {m*c^2~(Internet Customer) + (Traffic)}
Let’s also energize it a bit to look at better, smarter and newer possible versions ïŠ
{E~(Internet Marketer)} = {m*c^2~(Internet Customer)(Traffic)}
{E~(Internet Marketer)(JV)} = {m*c^2~(Internet Customer)(Traffic)}
{E~(Internet Marketer)(JV~x²)} = {m*c^2~(Internet Customer)(Traffic~x²)}
Limitless, endless probable possibilities which can and will skyrocket the Internet Marketing Field…
Now… let’s freeze everything for a moment and imagine the real and pure raw power of this unconventional formula which will generate unlimited hoards of businesses…
Wait! Please keep that beautiful thought another moment to let it sync in…
Thank you.
2. Basic/Simple: Bear with me here, I sincerely apologize, because more lines are added to JD’s original unique statement to lead this intention into the right path:
Everything symmetric is beautiful
Everything beautiful is simple
Everything simple is pure
Everything pure is divine
Applying this system correctly to the Internet Marketing, or to anything else for that matter, the natural automatic divine phenomena called quantum leap will be created in due time to reach the destined desired goal.
Let’s throw more light to this 2nd concept to grasp the process; after all it is named basic and simple.
By accepting JD’s “Everything symmetric is beautiful†statement, will automatically lead us to the simple scheme of simplicity, because simple beauty will always precede the artificial… well let’s spell it bluntly, the fake… Besides, the real simple beauty will last forever with no exception.
Also to be simple’ someone, something, or anything must be pure, because pureness is the essence of simplicity.
Well known examples; simple clean pure water. Fresh & simple clean pure air. A beautiful simple red rose. A newborn baby is always simple, pure and divine. Even the ugliest animal in the World when born is beautiful because it is simple and pure…
Even though simple means simply simple, the instinct demands me to simplify it more. Since inception, we humans have shifted ourselves from being plain simple; we have complicated ourselves unknowingly into the complexity scheme of things… Thus have completely forgotten to be plane simple! We should and must make a point to start to learn to be simple… But that’s completely different and debatable subject which can be stripped out in another agendum.
Finally to summarize this, when symmetric is beautiful, and beautiful is simple and pure, then it has to be divine.
There’s no other choice.
It cannot be otherwise.
Because the whole Universe is based on this symmetric (a = b) basic principle formula, which is beautiful, simple, pure with miraculous phenomenal powers.

Balance.
With everything symmetric one has to find balance. Balance the two and you have the key to it all!

Hi John..
I would say you are like philosopher on IM business. And I like to answer you professor. How To Apply Symmetry in your IM Business?
I believe Symmetry talking about balance. Your IM Business no matter how successful it is, you need to back up with other aspects of life. You need to balance out your relationship, family life, healthy life, spiritual life and the lack of one of this factors will result in non-symmetric life.
I do believe keeping it symmetry is a big challenged and if it can be done! then life is beautiful as a symmetry butterfly
