For Adult minds only

Welcome back! Remember to download the Big Yellow Book of Turbo Marketing Secrets at !

I was reading Michael Rasmussen’s last email a few seconds ago…

He got a call from his Clickbank today. They called to inform him that Get More Buyers is the #1 selling product in the Business To Business category!

And I am happy because part of his success comes from your trust to my promotion, since I am currently No. 7 in the leader board with 2 fellow marketers ahead for reaching the Top 5 position.

I thank you for your trust. I also thank all turbo people for the private messages sent. Most of you told me that my turbo deal was TOO much since the product it promotes costs less than $100 and I give a bonus that costs me ~4,000 to create it.

Anyway.

Remember that Michael’s bonuses expire on Nov. 4 and that will be the day I shall ALSO stop offering my bonus for that promotion, and start selling the package – I think for $197.

Take a look at it again at www.TurboPromotes.com/GMB

I know that my lists do not count 1000s of 1000s of people so I cannot expect to “win” that affiliate race, but to tell you the truth I do not mind at all. I did not mind even when I was offering my turbo deals to my 500 subscribers.

Over-delivering is what I love doing, and your support allowed me to continue and reach the Delaverian Status today.

Thanks to you – especially to turbo people that are with me since 2002.

PLUS as Leonidas (from Sparta) said his own 300 people were better than the 1000s of the enemy’s army – because they were HIS people and know what to do in the battle. Eventually they all died of course, but a traitor helped that. And in all cases they are still alive in the modern society as Unique Men – Unique Heroes.

I hope you noticed that I created a central site at www.TurboPromotes.com so you can stay updated with the current active promotions of mine, what products/services I am going to promote in the near future and the type of Bonus you get.

THANKS TO YOU I am the top no. 5 affiliate in the leader board of Jeremy & Louis’s contest keeping the position with Big Gurus of IM ahead and behind me – some of them were my teachers back in 2002. :) That’s a good feeling. :)

If you have not gotten your 4 DVDs (you pay only for the shipping cost $9.99 if I remember right) please do so at www.findv.com/videoempire

In fact you need to pay a special attention to Jeremy & Louis’ offer. Do you know why?

Because if you observe what’s happening online then you may have noticed that Armand Morrin just released a “membership site with video tutorials.”

Think about it.

Jeremy & Louis’ package is HUGE… You get everything with PLR. And if you master Camtasia you can just add a splash screen on each video mentioning your site and create your own VIDEO MEMBERSHIP SITE with 100s of videos inside.. If only 100 people signup for -say- $7 per month you get a recurring $700 per month.

Mind you I do not blow smoke here – I have never done that.
What I suggest you works.

It will not work only if you think so.
All you need to do is to BELIEVE in what’s suggested here and take action.

Here is a real story so to get the picture:

One of my mentorees bought a product through my affiliate link for $77. I told him that the first thing he has to do is to DO something for GETTING the money of that expense BACK to his pocket.

How? – he asked.

I adviced him to create a report on a cool subject, pass the PLR to people and over do it with the Bonuses and sell everything for $7.

He was worried a bit since I put a deadline of 24 hours. I told him “not to worry a lot about things…” and that in all cases he needed just 11 sales of $7.

To make it short:

He created a report, add bonuses, and offered the PLR of the report for $9.99

He missed the deadline of the challenge but managed to hit the target and generate the money he wanted.

ALL HE HAD TO DO IS TO ACT.
Without worrying too much.

You may get used to read stories about millions online. Yes, they are true stories.

But do not worry… do not bother at all.
Do now allow yourself to get confused by those numbers.

Millions in a day or in 1 week or in 1 year is possible for MASTERS of the “game” only. If you start now, instead of waiting for the BIG DAY of yours, it is BY FAR BETTER AND WISER to put a challenge to yourself and see how you can easily generate 11 sales of $7 – and repeat, at least 2 times per month.

You will soon see that what you did with 11 sales of $7 can be done with 11 sales for $17… and then for $170 and then for $1,700

But you need to get yourself FAMILIAR with that process.

Stop thinking too much.
Stop planning too much.

Just ACT. Today. Everyday.

Win small wars on a weekly basis. Generate just 11 sales of $7.
But get used to it.
And repeat the action.

The use improves the user.

And that 11x$7=$77 per 15 days is better than $0. You will feel BETTER too. You will become more excited too.

Your environment will be more supportive too because they will see a) results and b) you’re trying hard to LEVERAGE those results.

All the above are not some “theoretical advices” you know… It’s what I have been doing too since my early days on the Net.

Turbo people that are with me since 2002 know that. I appreciate their trust to me and they appreciate my loyalty to perfection and to continuous results generated by turbo hard work.

You know what?

Back in December 2004 I told myself that if I’d generate $10,000 per month from the Net, then I’d declare myself as a FULL TIME online marketer.

That happened in 2005 and I did not even noticed it.

Because my eyes kept looking HIGHER.

The use improves the user unfortunately or fortunately if you prefer, but when you reach your first dream and target, you realize that the present demands more from you in order to guarantee you a better future.

Keeping eyes HIGH helps.

I never declared myself as a full time Internet Marketer. It just happened.

MANY of you may feel frustrated or even say

…mmm… let me find something one subscriber wrote when he unsubscribed from this list….
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
… ok.. here it is:

“Just another salesman.”

Believe it or not I read all those messages because I want to see what people say when leaving.

Thankfully the 95% of the people is either duplicate subscriptions or from people that just cannot deal with the ….email and info-overloading.

I do not respond to those message, but to tell you the truth I wanted to send a message back to them saying:
If you cannot manage that email overloading or the info-overloading then how can you expect to manage 1000s of sales??
How can you demand from others to help you to reach your own Big Land when you cannot help yourself to cope with trivial things???

But those lines: “Just another salesman.” hit me in heart.

Not because I am not.

I am a salesman. ALL Internet Marketers are salesmen.

YOU must become a salesman…

Because… what else are we doing online???

Is the Net for chatting with other people all over the world? Yes you can do it and waste your time. Making friends is good indeed. Making money makes your family happier though – and yourself too.

Is the Net for browsing pages, listening to Mp3s and watching movies?? Maybe.. but making money will allow you to get your wife or husband and enjoy the movie at the cinema, having fun between the pop corn, the Cola’s and the games you can play together in a Mall.

“Just another salesman.”

I have no idea what that subscriber had in his mind…

I have no idea what you have in your mind either other than making money online….

Someone else said: “only the sellers get the money”

:) )
Isn’t that a naive observation??

Yes of course; that’s how it happens.

Have you ever gone to a Super Market to buy milk and ask for getting it free?

Have you ever gone to get a job and demand from your boss to stop earning money – and gives it to you instead???

It reminds me a friend when she was working in a hotel and was coming furious back from her work because her manager was paid something like $2,000 per month while my cousin was getting 50% of it and “was doing much more work than her manager….”

I used to yell to her
“Are you SERIOUS???? Wake Up!”

We do not live in Utopia.
We do not share our properties with all citizens.
We do not demand to get something for free.
We work hard for it.
And earn our little successes.

And then we CAN help people too.
As a THANK YOU to them, to the Universe, to God – or to Who ever you believe is Up There.

Other people say:
“I am not going to buy what you suggest because the only thing you do from me is my money.”

Oh! Ah!

I’d ask that person:
“If you create a product, can you please send it free to me? Or even better: Give it free to the world. Or even better: Never sell Never promote a product as an affiliate. Give Everything Free. Do it for as long as you can. Until Banks tell you that you have outstanding bills to pay… Until your parents, friends, wife, husband remind to you that you need to take care of your kids – because they need money for getting cloths, milk, and to pay for a visit to the doctor…”

Of course money is the target.

What’s “bad” with that???

Don’t YOU want to make money online? If not, what are you doing here?
Testing the waters?
Being a watcher?

Offering the dream as an excuse to people around you so they can bear with you when you’re playing with your computer?

…..

Anyway…

All I wanted to tell you through this message is that Michael’s bonuses and my bonuses at www.turbopromotes.com/GMB will say “Bye Buy (sic)” on Nov. 4 and that you should not even think not to get what Louis and Jeremy offer there www.findv.com/videoempire

I know those people want your money too.
You know I am getting paid when you pay.

But this is how the system works.

Master it instead of whining.
If you do it, then stop today and ACT instead.

If you pay $77 for a product, DO something. You need 11 sales of $7.

Create something, sell it and make your purchase even with the sales you will get.

BTW.. do you know WHY you NEED TO SPEND MONEY online?

Guess what…

How can you approach Michael Rasmussen for a JV if you have not read his latest ebook?

What will you say to him?

“I am sorry but I could not afford it. Can you help me promoting my report? I sell it for $7 with PLR.”

That’s a NO-NO behavior.

How do you expect to be a good seller if you are not a good buyer first???

What would you tell to Jeremy and Louis or to any Jeremy…

“I wish I could get your 4 DVDs with those 30+ videos offered with PLR … but I could not afford that shipping cost of $9.. something… Can you please help me and send it free? I promise to send that money to you when I create a product with the videos in those DVDs…”

Is this a normal behavior of a responsible adult?

Those guys offer their brain and property and do not charge you because they are telling you:
“Bing! Bing! You can DO great things with the course we sell but if you do not believe us: Get these 4 DVDs just for paying the shipping cost. See what you get and then decide…”

I admit that personally I preferred to hire someone, pay $15,000+ and create my own videos at www.turbovideotraining.com/index.shtml

But how come I was able to do that???

Do you think I would believe it if someone back in 2002 told me that in 6 years, I’d generate more those $10,000 (I wanted to get each month back in 2004) in 1 weekend as commissions through the promotion of various products…

Do not say WOW.

Because it took me 6 years to reach that level. Because I keep working the way I had been working – harder too, for I have bigger plans now.
I am bothering you here and I do it when I feel I HAVE TO TELL YOU that YOU can do BETTER than me if you steal the wisdom here.
What you see today related to JD is the result. Chances are you do not know the story behind that result.

I did nothing special you know.

All I was doing was to buy products for becoming a good buyer and getting the knowledge and the tools (aka. saving time by stealing wisdom that was offered for a price.) And I was always trying to USE my resources, the products I was getting with rights in order to create WEIRD turbo deals and surprise my 500 subscribers, then the 1,000, then the 5,000, then the 10,000 etc…

Improvise.
Differentiate.
Be creative.

And ACT. Do Something.

Create something.

And sell it.

If you have no list just go to the Warriors’ forum and post a special offer. It will cost you $20, so that makes the sales you need to make it even 13.

What should you create?

I really do not know.

Anything.

Find it.

Find what people buy there.
Find what people buy online.
If you are a turbo member you have TONS of resources in order to act today.
You have the advantage. Use it.

And create something.

A report of 20 pages. Anything.

Sweep the dust from the products you have in your PC with master resale rights.

Sell that report with PLR for $7. And over deliver with bonuses offered with master resale rights.

Tell to people that you need those 13 sales. Be true. Be sincere.

And repeat the process.

Do something anyway.
Today.
And every day.

And stop believing that your future can be controlled by what others can DO for you.

It’s what YOU can do FOR YOURSELF that counts – and sometimes what you can do for others too, when you reach a higher level as mentioned above.

Others may help you but you need to be able to distinguish what’s the best deal and what’s not.

You cannot demand trust from people if you are not able to trust people.
In all cases trust is not granted – it’s GAINED by proving how persistent you are with your dreams.

And we have plenty of time here to see what you can do.

Until then…

Enjoy.

John Delavera

p.s. sorry for the rant… As you know it happens periodically, and when it does I cannot stop or control it.

p.p.s. Haha.. guess what… Someone called me some minutes ago while I was posting this here. He was one of the telemarketers – part of the team of a marketer you may know, no names here though…. He told me that since I got his course, they wanted to give me an opportunity to generate $10,000 in the next 3 months… I said “I am not interested to.” And he asked me with a “surprise” in his voice “You are not interested to make $10,000 in 3 months?” I said “Nope” and he wanted to clarify: “Did you say Yes or NO?” “I said NO” I repeated… And he wished me Good Luck… What I did not tell him is that I have my eyes higher than what he offered… However explaining that to him would be a waste of time… Hopefully he will remember that No – even if he says “what a stupid man” I was… People. :)

But showing them how the real money-game goes

Again thank you so much John for keeping us thinking!

    Hey John,

Probably my first time writing on your blog comment. :-) Firstly, congrats on reaching Michael R.’s leaderboard! :-) Try inching closer to top 5 (competitive judging from those names there, but yeah it can be done)

About the un-subscriber, well you pretty much took the words out of my mouth. Then I guess it’s like getting the roses with the thorns when having an e-zine or membership site – dealing with real people. :-)

There will be some who appreciate what you put out, and then those who completely miss it out. Just like that ’salesman’ and ‘give it to me for free’ examples. I don’t think I’d surprise you if I say I get those kind of mails now and then too.

But you’re doing awfully great online and keep it up – many are watching you. :-)

    Edmund Loh

    P.S. “Haha” at the ‘P.P.S.’ ;-) !!

  4. Brian Collins Says:

    Hi John,

You are not just “another salesman”.

Unfortunately we live and work in a culture of the occasional subscriber expecting everything for free by giving you an e-mail address and then un-subscribing when they see an offer that is going to cost something with a stupid comment as above.

What I will say is that you are not just “another salesman” you are an “extraordinary salesman” who always provides value for money and more.

Be glad you are not wasting time and resources on an un-realistic individual who is someone that will always get what they deserve – nothing.

    Brian

  5. Paul Says:

    John,
Thank you for being brutally honest. Fortunately or unfortunately, those wanting to gain a free ride to internet lifestyle freedom will only end up in the handout line of the new world order as the whine that their hard earned weekly (weakly) paycheck goes to the government coffers for mass “spreading of the wealth”.
My wife and I were just discussing this over lunch, and interestingly we had been discussing two other well-known marketers who recently stated sentiments similar to yours. AM and MB by initials. Unashamedly aggressive marketers. We are already working at it too.

We are all salesmen no matter whether we are marketing online, or doing a 9-5 job. The whiners will get over it, or be left behind.

Thank you always, for your honest commitment to providing us with the honest quality that you do.

    Paul

    Good post John,

    We’re all sales people!

We sell our ideas, hopes, and dreams to people every day in one form or another.

  9. Dave Ovenden Says:

    Hi John,

    Love the rant!

You are so honest in your writing – I really admire that.

Another thing is that in my experience you always over-deliver with the bonuses offered on the products that you promote. That’s not “Just another salesman” that’s the mark of a TURBO salesman!

    Thanks and best regards,

  10. Femi Says:

    Hey John,

Thanks for another beautiful piece. Your rants are actually like a motivating message that creates some sort of reaction, at least to me. In other words you either leave me going “Hmm you know what JD is right once again, I really need to be doing this…” or “Thanks for sharing this post JD, I have to stop doing that…”

Those kind of subscribers, like the one you mentioned above, will always be on everyone’s list no matter what and the sooner you can get rid of them the better. I for one know the value of being a subscriber on your list. If it involved paying you to be a subscriber I’d find a means to stay subscribed. SERIOUSLY.

I haven’t met you yet in person but it’d be a honor to have that opportunity some day.

I do hope you move past that 7th position in the affiliates ranking. What’s up man? All the best.

  11. Sharyn Proctor Says:

To be in a possition of influence, opens the way to “be influenced”.
A danger that needs to be managed and observed by self obervation.
All I can say is by association there is a chance to lose the part of oneself that
has the power to influence, and be left bare naked without the essense of self.
Now when Americans call me to offer me the chance to make money and learn how to market on line, they usually finish the conversation with, “I think you would be bored with what we are teaching, you seem to know it all!”
I dont, but what they mean is they found no way to have influence over me.

We all go on little trips in life, sometimes leaving a part of ourselves behind.
Usually if you look behind, someone who loves you will have been saving it for you :)

  12. John Hill Says:

    John,

You never cease to amaze me. There are always some golden nuggets (yes, in the plural) in your rants – and will you please stop using that word? Call them messages, posts, comments, contributions – whatever, but to me they are anything but rants.

As a former computer class teacher, I have noticed countless times that some people never learn. In the same way, some people obviously just don’t get what a marketer does, let alone the fact that without marketers, they would not be able to get the products the marketers sell or the content they provide -whether it’s free or paid.

Here is what I would like to ask those people: Would you tell your boss (they all have a boss, because they all have jobs, since they obviously aren’t marketers) not to pay you any salary, because you think he should receive the result of your work for free? Would you work day in and day out for nothing, just because you love sharing your talent and your knowledge with the world?

I think we all know the answer, because there can be only one.

John, you are not just another salesman.

As you say, you are a salesman. More than that, you are also a very generous and caring person and a true friend, both to your mentorees and personal contacts as well as to each and every one of your subscribers and customers.

Some will ask, where is the proof? How can I say that? Those who have to ask, probably wouldn’t understand the reply anyway, but part of the reply is the fact that you don’t push every new IM product that is launched just to get the commisson. You are very selective with what you promote. And I have yet to see you promote something without explaining – before people buy – what the product will do when used correctly, as well as who should and who should not buy it.

Another part of the reply is the very post (NOT rant) that we are commenting on here.

I better stop now before this becomes another… er… rant.

Thank you John, for your advice.

  13. Sharyn Proctor Says:

    Nice one John Hill :)
I geuss the thing is that generalisation never works.
Not all people are online to make money, I myself find that when I accept money for something, I am open to critisim and a slave to others expectations.
Creativity is smothered when you try to fullfill the desires and expectations of others.
Yesturday I made 2 loaves of freshly stone ground wholemeal bread.
I gave one away and kept the less perfect one.
This morning all I could wait for was the praise I knew I was due for from the eater of the perfect loaf. I GOT IT :) I am so happy…

Just keep on “selling” to me then ’cause I am buying just about everything you are offering. That last deal with Michael will allow me to reach the business market in a way that I have been trying to figure out since Oct 2007.

You have put it all together in the DEAL! I need to get off the duff and stop trying to make it perfect … Just learn to sell enough to get my expense and the profits can continue.

    Thanks.

  15. Milton Reid Says:

    SALESMAN…WHO’S A SALESMAN.

    Definitely not John Delavera
Please indulge me while I tell you a short story.
I haven’t worked for a boss since 1975.. So now you
have an idea how long I’ve been taking up space on this planet.
I learned the art of selling by selling Encyclopaedia door to door, if you think
Internet marketing is hard just try that for a living.

That was my introduction to selling, since then I have owned several business
but I was forced into retirement due to illness that’s another story.
I think it’s time a came out, I am a licensed Motor Trader so I will
put up my hand and say I know a little about selling. No don’t get all
uppity, I am not that kind of used car salesman. I have a pretty good
track record and gained most of my sales from repeat business,
from recommendations by relatives or friends.
Short lesson: If you are going to sell anything, be honest and give
value and let your customers do the selling for you.

I sold a car once by telling the prospect every thing that was
wrong with it. He looked at me and said, “If you’re that bloody honest
I’ll take it, at least I know what to fix.” He knew value, the car was priced according
to what it was worth and by doing the repairs himself he got a very reliable vehicle.

I lost a sale once because a customer perceived the value of the vehicle as being too cheap.
She loved the car until I told here the price. It was written on the windscreen by the
way, but she was so thrilled with finding what she wanted she didn’t look.
When I told her the price, she said “Oh no that’s too cheap, there must be something wrong with it.” There wasn’t; the person who did eventually buy it came back
and told me how thrilled they were with it.

So John please don’t claim to be a salesman, because all of us out here who can
claim that honour; know what you are up to. We know all the tricks about giving value and about customer satisfaction and how to sweeten a deal. We’ve all thrown in a set of floor mats and a years supply of auto polish.

We know what your up to, you think that by giving us more than we pay for we’ll keep coming back. That’s just bribery and we are wise to you. You think that by helping us we will appreciate it and buy even more stuff and to top it off, you probably even think we might just tell our friends.

Sorry old mate but you’re not a salesman.

    Cheers,
    Milton

  16. Smiley Webb Says:

    Hey John,

I enjoyed reading your rant it brought back some memories of a recent email I received from a former subscriber of one of my member sites that is hosted by you at use-sell.com.

The former subscriber said ” I used to enjoy reading your material but any more you are getting to spammy trying to sell something all the time just like all those guru’s and you claimed you was not a guru.” Unsubscribe me.” It hurts to the bone when you hear something like that from someone.

Yeah John Delavera, I feel your pain.

  17. Godfrey Thaxter Says:

    Hey John,

You are one of those individuals that provide much value to your customers and subscribers.

Sometimes it’s okay to address some of the issues that the small minority of negative people have; unfortunately, when you spend time getting caught up into their quagmire of negativity the rest of us lose out.

No matter what good you do, a small percentage of people will attempt to tear it down. Fortunately, as one writer said, “There is only 10 nasty people in this world, but they move around a lot”.

We are humans; so negative actions and statements will affect us from time to time, but unless it’s really something that we need to address promptly, we shouldn’t waste our time giving those people the attention they might be trying to get from their flare ups.

Continuing to do what makes you tick by serving your faithful followers with more passion, will always overcome those little irritating ripples that comes along sometimes. ***Keep up the good work!

    To your ultimate success,

    Godfrey

My post was tongue in cheek and meant that way.
I have the highest regards for John as my track record with him can attest.
Ok I know I’m Australian and yes we can laugh at ourselves and it is
a thing that we do “to take the mickey out of someone we admire and call a friend”
I think in UsofA it’s called Roasting.
And to clarify it a little more; if we don’t like someone we don’t even bother talking to them, we have better things to do with our time and we never ever “suck up”

You obviously read my post with darkness in your mind, so I apologies and I guess I should include John in that since he also may have taken it the wrong way, it was never meant to offend.

Serves me right though, I guess I should check out the cultural differences before I say anything. So you may not see a post from me for a while until I learn what offends and what doesn’t.

In the meantime you all have a nice day.
I’ll just go and hang my head in shame.

    Milton.

    To Sharyn & Milton

Both of you have the best intentions in mind.

    Peace. :)
